Ten Beautiful (Free!) Spring Printables

Hello my friends! Are you ready for the weekend? We kicked it off a little early with some St. Paddy's Day fun yesterday. :) I'm back today sharing one of my absolute favorites -- free printables. Another reason I love blogland! I love these any time of the year because they are about as close as you can get to free art. Such a simple and easy way to change out your decor season to season and add some color around the house! I shared my spring display in our foyer with a couple free printables that I printed here . I LOVE them. I try to keep 8x10 pieces of white cardstock on hand to print these out when I want. I've gathered ten beautiful spring prints to share with you today -- this weekend kicks off the season so it's a great time to add a few around the house! Be sure to visit the links below the photos for the high resolution versions to download. I love anything watercolor and eggs look especially pretty in these soft tones: source I'm also a sucker for a chal...

DIY Upper and Lower Cabinet Lighting

Well hello! It's been awhile since I've done a proper tutorial, yes? It's about time! I finally finished up one of the last items on my list for the kitchen renovation. I called this room done last fall , but I did have a couple little things left on my list. I was happy to get this knocked off! I installed the under cabinet lighting back then but never showed it to you because I wanted to get the upper cabinets done too. It was great having them down below but the upper lights are the real showstoppers. I LOVE how they look all lit up!:  I'm so thrilled with it! If you'd like to see how I've done this in the past, check out this post . If you don't have an outlet and switch dedicated to these lights that tutorial is one you'll want to use. I used timers back then and they worked great -- and actually you could easily use timers on these too. The only difference between then and now is that I had an outlet run up high in the wall this time and I used dif...

Before and After Party (Just a Little Late!)

Well hello there! So yet AGAIN I forgot about the before and after link up this month. I did the same thing in January -- I seriously have no idea why I keep doing that. I've been hosting this shindig for about five years and I've never forgotten this much! Soooo…here we go. :) A little late but let's do this thing. I really love looking through all of your posts every month and yet again I was so impressed with what you all create! Sharon's mudroom is one of my favorites:  I loved every bit of it but you know my favorite part was the black door. It is such a big statement for so little money!  Jaime shared a brilliant drawer DIY project -- she used it for water bottles but you could use the same concept for any organizational needs:  I've been planning pull out drawers like this in both our kitchen and master closet -- I know they will make a huge difference! Jenny shared a HUGE kitchen transformation that she worked on and it is stunning: She helped me paint my ...

Super Cute Spring Decor!

Happy Friday my friends! Our warmer temps have me in the best mood! Even though it's been rainy I'm still thrilled. (I love rainy days anyway.) I was out the other day looking around and found some really cute spring and Easter items and decided to do a little more digging to share a few more with you. These all make me smile and are perfect for this time of year! I mean, come on. Baby chick measuring spoons ?? Come. on. The cup they sit in is a measuring cup as well. That is precious. I've seen this little spring tree on the Target site many times but it doesn't sell online and our location doesn't have it in stock. Hopefully your store will have it? This is such a perfect decorative tree -- it would be adorable with little Easter eggs hanging from it: I keep at least one boxwood wreath up all year round, but they are especially pretty at the holidays and in the spring. This is a recent pic I shared on Instagram that shows how I have mine hanging on our pantry do...

Goodbye to My First Trim Project

Hello there! I'm itching to start some bigger projects in the house but am trying to finish up items on my list from my no spend month  first. This is one I look at every single day and have been wanting to tackle for months! Late last year I took down the "boxes" I had on our staircase -- they were the first trim project I tried more than ten years ago and the newbie-ness showed. :) They weren't flush with the wall and were kind of a mess, but I was proud of them for all those years!  I usually decide to tear stuff up before big events like people coming over, a big party or major holidays. It's how I do. This one was no exception -- I took the trim down in December and it's looked like this since:  I used to have a darker color in the squares and the old wall color was behind that -- you can really see how pink those walls were!  I didn't think I had used glue on the trim but I was wrong. This is why I tell you all NOT to use glue on your trimwork unles...
