The July before and after link up (I remembered!)

Well HELLO! How was your holiday weekend? Great I hope! Ours was so much fun and relaxing at the same time. Just the way I like my weekends.

I got literally nothing done and as nice as that was I'm anxious to get moving on things this week. But first, I actually remembered the before and and after party this month! Someone give me a sticker! Seriously, I don't know WHAT is wrong with me. Turning 40 makes my mind mush I guess. Two months in a row I forgot.

So I'm finally back into it here and I can't wait to see what you've been up to. Of course first I have some awesome projects to share with you by some really talented bloggers from the last time we did this thing.

Monica's fireplace makeover is just gorgeous -- I don't think it could get any better:

I've been eyeing that stunning tile for a project and this may have solidified it.

Kathy had a dark kitchen set and she didn't just paint it like I would do -- she added beautiful and unexpected details that I love:

I especially love the feet!

Holly shared her living room progress -- her furniture choices and accents are lovely:

I LOVE those tables and must have them.

Angela added some new flooring over the old stuff in her bathroom and it looks fabulous (it isn't real wood!):

Yuni's pretty bedroom makeover is so relaxing:

My friend Jenny hit it out of the park again with another kitchen makeover:

This was a smaller one and the changes made a HUGE difference in here. Love it.

The shower curtain is adorable and I'm such a sucker for penny tile. I like how she used it as an accent in the niches.

How to install stacked stone tile on a fireplace wall

Hey all! I've been working my butt off (I wish literally) on this fireplace tile project in the basement! If you remember I last left you with the new mantel and hearth :  Those tiles were just leaned up against there so I started with that bottom part -- because it was the easiest. :)  I've been working on it on and off on this for the past couple of weeks and finally hit it hard again yesterday. The beautiful color trending this year (it's my favorite!)

Hello! Are you ready for the weekend? I'll be working on a fun project in the basement -- I hope to share it with you next week!  I kind of can't believe it but it's true...I am ahead of the game with a decor trend. This NEVER happens. Usually I'll sit by and watch to see if I really like something -- for years -- and buy into some of them when they're not even trendy anymore. It's my thing.  But THIS time I am right there in it and even though I don't find it "trendy" at all, the color BLUE is all the rage this spring. I think it will continue on throughout the year so if you are a blue lover, rejoice! We are cutting edge my friends! :)  What I think is particularly funny is I used to say I'd NEVER add blue to our home . I disliked it very much.
